Glitter as an Initiative

#sparkleinitiative - a compliment, a smile, a pat on the back have the power to transform and move mountains.

Every day there's a chance to sparkle. We know how that sounds! We, along with so many of you, get bogged down when watching the news or reading negative things right in your Facebook timeline. And sometimes those things are heavy and genuinely debilitating. We aren't suggesting a Pollyanna attitude. But close.  How do we handle it all without getting overwhelmed? Especially during the holidays?

Enter attitude. It's that thing only you can control on a daily basis, and it has the power to help or harm. So when we say that a little bit of sparkle can solve most problems, what we mean is that focusing on how to make a situation better, by doing only what we can control, can turn negatives into positives.

This holiday season is a great time to test out sparkle at holiday gatherings, and getting into the sparkly mood. Remember, the only thing you can control is yourself. Let go of other people's opinions and allow only the things that exude positivity into your realm of influence.

Go forth and sparkle!

E6000 Blue, Heat Resistance, Rume Tote Bag Repair, and Standard Business Card Size: An FAQ

Posted on Tuesday 11th of August 2026
  • Questions I actually get
    • Is E6000 blue a different product?
    • Is E6000 heat resistant?
    • Can you buy E6000 glue at Dollar General?
    • Can E6000 fix a Rume tote bag?
    • Can you put super glue on a cut?
    • What is a standard business card size?

I'm a quality/brand compliance manager at a packaging and printing company. I review every adhesive label, printed proof, and packaging spec before it goes out—roughly 300 items a year. In 2024, I rejected about 4% of first proofs because the dimensions, material choice, or cure time didn't match the approved spec. So when I answer questions about E6000 and business cards, I do it the same way I'd audit a sample: verify the claim, check the numbers, and don't assume the label tells the whole story.

Questions I actually get

Here's what people are asking about E6000 adhesive, tote bag repairs, super glue, and standard print sizes.

Is E6000 blue a different product?

Not exactly. What most people call 'E6000 blue' is usually the standard E6000 tube with a blue label. The formula is still E6000 industrial-strength adhesive. The blue is on the packaging, not the adhesive itself. Before you assume a product is different, check the exact name and item number on the back. Some stores carry E6000 Original, E6000 Heat Resistant, E6000 Fabri-Fuse, and E6000 Clear in similar packaging. In my quality reviews, I look at the technical data sheet, not the color of the squeeze tube. If the numbers don't match the job, I reject it.

Is E6000 heat resistant?

According to the E6000 technical data sheet (eclecticproducts.com), cured E6000 withstands temperatures from -40°F to 180°F (-40°C to 82°C). That makes it heat resistant for most craft, apparel, and packaging applications. It is not a high-temperature adhesive for engine parts or oven doors. I turned back a batch in 2024 because someone read 'heat resistant' and assumed it could handle 500°F. Always match the adhesive spec to the actual environment.

Can you buy E6000 glue at Dollar General?

Dollar General stores vary a lot by region, so I can't guarantee your local aisle will have it. As of January 2025, I've confirmed E6000 in the craft/adhesive section at several DG locations, often near super glue and epoxy. But retail stock changes. For a one-off repair, that's fine. For production, don't depend on a Dollar General shelf. We buy adhesive in case packs from distributors so we get consistent production lots. That consistency is worth more than a dollar saved on a single tube.

Can E6000 fix a Rume tote bag?

Rume tote bags are popular, but the name covers more than one material. Some are canvas, some are coated cotton, some have leather straps. E6000 bonds fabric, leather, vinyl, rubber, and most plastics, so it's a reasonable first try for a strap or seam repair. The key is to test first: apply a small amount to an inside seam, let it cure 24 hours, then pull on it. If the bond flexes and holds, proceed. For heavy loads, glue alone isn't enough. I'd stitch the seam first, then use E6000 to seal it. That's the same approach we use in packaging: adhesive plus a mechanical lock.

Can you put super glue on a cut?

I'm not a doctor, so I'm not going to tell you to close a wound with adhesive. What I can tell you from a materials perspective is this: regular super glue is cyanoacrylate, but it is not sterile and it is not designed for skin. Medical-grade skin adhesive is a different product with different purity requirements. Industrial glue like E6000 is not for skin, period. For a minor cut, clean it and use a bandage. For a deep cut, get medical care. This is a case where the cheapest 'fix' can cost you much more later. Don't be penny-wise and pound-foolish with your health.

What is a standard business card size?

In North America, the standard finished business card size is 3.5 inches by 2 inches (89 x 51 mm). In the printing industry, we design to 3.5 x 2 with a 0.125-inch bleed on each side, so the full artwork is 3.75 x 2.25 inches before trimming. The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook and most print production references use this same standard. For standard cards, an online printer like 48 Hour Print works well. If you need custom die-cut shapes or hands-on color matching, you may need a local shop. And here's the value-over-price part: a flimsy card from the cheapest supplier saves a few dollars per thousand, but if it feels cheap to a client, it costs you more in credibility.
