Glitter as an Initiative

#sparkleinitiative - a compliment, a smile, a pat on the back have the power to transform and move mountains.

Every day there's a chance to sparkle. We know how that sounds! We, along with so many of you, get bogged down when watching the news or reading negative things right in your Facebook timeline. And sometimes those things are heavy and genuinely debilitating. We aren't suggesting a Pollyanna attitude. But close.  How do we handle it all without getting overwhelmed? Especially during the holidays?

Enter attitude. It's that thing only you can control on a daily basis, and it has the power to help or harm. So when we say that a little bit of sparkle can solve most problems, what we mean is that focusing on how to make a situation better, by doing only what we can control, can turn negatives into positives.

This holiday season is a great time to test out sparkle at holiday gatherings, and getting into the sparkly mood. Remember, the only thing you can control is yourself. Let go of other people's opinions and allow only the things that exude positivity into your realm of influence.

Go forth and sparkle!

Berlin Packaging FAQ: Coupon Codes, Logo Files, and Poster Tubes

Posted on Monday 17th of August 2026
  • Is there a working Berlin Packaging coupon code?
  • Where can I find the Berlin Packaging logo?
  • How to open poster tube without damaging the poster
  • How should I store a Woodstock poster 1969 original?
  • Can Berlin Packaging print a catalog like the Pella catalog?
  • What is the cheapest way to buy packaging and print supplies online?

Look, I didn't set out to be the person who knows how to open a poster tube without wrecking the contents. But when you're the office administrator for a 140-person marketing agency, you end up owning the stuff nobody else wants to own. I have been ordering packaging materials, business cards, flyers, and branded boxes since 2020. Maybe 200 orders. Maybe 180, I'd have to check the system.

Most of our packaging and print orders go through Berlin Packaging. I manage that relationship alongside five other vendors. These are the questions I answer on repeat, so consider this the FAQ I wish I had on day one.

Here's what this FAQ covers:

  • Is there a Berlin Packaging coupon code?
  • Where can I find the Berlin Packaging logo?
  • How to open poster tube without damaging the poster
  • How should I store a Woodstock poster 1969 original?
  • Can Berlin Packaging print a catalog like the Pella catalog?
  • What is the cheapest way to buy packaging and print supplies online?

Is there a working Berlin Packaging coupon code?

The honest answer is: it depends on when you ask. I used a 10% off code from a packaging trade show in March 2024. It expired. As of January 2025, I haven't found a public code that works on every order. I check the Berlin Packaging homepage before checkout, because the promo banner changes.

I went back and forth between waiting for a better code and placing the order. Waiting saved 10%. Ordering saved the deadline. I ordered. To be fair, coupon codes help. But they're not worth delaying a project that has a hard ship date.

Where can I find the Berlin Packaging logo?

If you need the Berlin Packaging logo for co-branded packaging, an approved-vendor list, or an internal purchase system, don't start with a web search. Logo files are trademarked, and the versions online are often low-resolution or outdated. I usually find the right file in one of three places: the sales rep's email footer, the account portal, or the media kit page on the Berlin Packaging website.

When I needed a high-resolution file for a client's vendor application, I asked the rep and got it in about two hours. The surprise wasn't that the logo was hard to find. It was that asking directly was faster than searching. That pattern shows up a lot in this job.

How to open poster tube without damaging the poster

First rule: don't use a screwdriver. A former colleague pried a cap off and punctured the poster inside. For a standard tube, twist the cap while holding the tube upright. If it's stuck, roll the tube back and forth on a table a few times to break the seal.

  1. Remove the cap and tilt the tube so the poster slides out an inch or two.
  2. Grab the poster by its wrapper, not by the edge.
  3. If there is no wrapper, loop a piece of acid-free tissue around the poster and pull with that.

Looking back, I should have bought a proper tube opener years ago. At the time, brute force seemed fine. It wasn't.

How should I store a Woodstock poster 1969 original?

This one seems random, but I get it. If you have a Woodstock poster 1969 original, don't roll it tightly and push it into the first tube you find. Lay it flat between acid-free boards in a portfolio box. If you must ship it, choose a wide 4-inch tube, wrap the poster in acid-free tissue, and pad the tube so the poster can't shift.

The original 1969 Woodstock poster has multiple variants. Condition drives value, and bad storage is the fastest way to hurt condition. If the poster is valuable, ask a paper conservator before doing anything.

Can Berlin Packaging print a catalog like the Pella catalog?

I've made that comparison before. A Pella catalog has a specific trim size, coated paper, and binding style. The short answer is yes, an online print shop can match that with the right specs. The bigger question is whether a catalog is the right format for your goal.

We printed a 32-page brochure in 2024. The paper selection mattered more than the printing method. Our first quote used a noticeably thinner sheet. The one that looked like the Pella catalog cost more, and it was worth it. If you're planning a similar project, ask for paper samples before approving a proof.

What is the cheapest way to buy packaging and print supplies online?

I'm not the cheapest shopper in the building. But total cost matters more than the line item. For us, the cheapest way has been consolidation: fewer orders, fewer shipping fees, and one rep who knows what we order. I process 60-80 orders a year, and bringing that down to two main vendors made a real difference.

As of Q3 2024, our ordering time dropped from about four hours a month to just over one. Shipping is the place where online pricing gets tricky. USPS rates effective July 2024 changed some flat-rate options, so I recalculate shipping before comparing quotes. Verify current rates at usps.com. Online ordering wins for standard boxes, tissue paper, and printed collateral. Put another way: efficient beats cheap, most of the time.
