Glitter as an Initiative

#sparkleinitiative - a compliment, a smile, a pat on the back have the power to transform and move mountains.

Every day there's a chance to sparkle. We know how that sounds! We, along with so many of you, get bogged down when watching the news or reading negative things right in your Facebook timeline. And sometimes those things are heavy and genuinely debilitating. We aren't suggesting a Pollyanna attitude. But close.  How do we handle it all without getting overwhelmed? Especially during the holidays?

Enter attitude. It's that thing only you can control on a daily basis, and it has the power to help or harm. So when we say that a little bit of sparkle can solve most problems, what we mean is that focusing on how to make a situation better, by doing only what we can control, can turn negatives into positives.

This holiday season is a great time to test out sparkle at holiday gatherings, and getting into the sparkly mood. Remember, the only thing you can control is yourself. Let go of other people's opinions and allow only the things that exude positivity into your realm of influence.

Go forth and sparkle!

Glitter as a Style

So why glitter? It's a frivolous thing meant for special occasions or added to a robust presentation board for a book report.

But to us, it represents the unseen hope around the corner.

Glitter captures the light ,and sometimes, in our hectic and busy states of mind, we fail to notice that light in our day to day activity. We rise each day to face the things we didn't get a chance to do yesterday, and the tasks of today are pregnant with promise to consume our every moment.

Glitter then, reminds our family to elevate the moment. To add it to objects, presentation boards, and even the edible kind to baked goods.

We use it to elevate the mood when facing overwhelm and to extend meaning to a neighbor or friend. Glitter. It sparkles. And even though it won't change the world, a little bit can solve most problems. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post on our #sparkleinitiative. Stay Sparkly!

Welcome to GlitterStylesDotCom! We are so happy you found us. Here is a nutshell bio to better get to know us:

We love social media and wanted to find a way to make it more accessible at events. From there, we researched how we could create a live Instagram wall at events and print out images on site.

From there, we realized that we had beautiful images that we could use for scrapbooking and art. And then, the A-HA Moment happened.
"We can take other people's awesome images from Instagram, print them out and make them more awesome by applying them to square canvases, hand pouring  epoxy over the top and adding a hint of sparkle for a true artist effect. The result, GlitterStyles! We can also create a charm out of your images to wear on a bracelet or necklace.

Your Instagram images. Tangible. Portable. More Awesome. Because, You!
